Activision Addresses Surge in ‘Call of Duty’ Cheating

Activision resolves ‘Call of Duty’ cheating spike with enhanced anti-cheat system RICOCHET, ensuring fair play across all platforms.

Activision has addressed the recent surge in cheating within ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’ following its addition to Xbox Game Pass on July 25.

The increase in cheating incidents was attributed to an issue with the RICOCHET anti-cheat system, which has since been resolved, leading to the banning of most offenders.

Activision clarified that the anti-cheat team can detect cheaters regardless of the platform. They also made UI adjustments to differentiate Xbox Game Pass players from regular PC players.

Players are encouraged to report any suspicious activity in-game to help maintain a fair gaming environment.
