Amazon today announced Echo Input Portable Smart Speaker (Echo Input Portable) —a new, portable voice-controlled smart speaker that combines hands-free access to Alexa with a 4,800 mAh rechargeable battery. Designed to be carried around your home, Echo Input Portable comes with 360-degree audio and allows customers to access Alexa from anywhere in the room using the same far-field voice recognition as other Echo devices. Echo Input Portable is available for pre-order starting today for just INR 4,999 from www.amazon.in/EchoInputPortable, and starts shipping to customers from December 18.

Unplug the device from the power outlet without losing access to Alexa
Echo Input makes it possible to take Alexa with you anywhere within the home. Customers can enjoy a portable Alexa experience by simply carrying the device from one room to another, with up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge.
Talk to Alexa from across the room, even while music is playing
With its four-microphone array, Echo Input Portable enables customers to talk to Alexa from across the room. Just ask, and Alexa will answer questions, play music, read the news, control your smart home, add items to the To-Do list, and much more.
Stream and carry their favourite music
With Echo Input Portable, customers can stream music from Amazon Prime Music, Apple Music, JioSaavn, Gaana or Hungama Music —just say “Alexa, play A. R. Rahman songs” and carry their favourite music as they move around the home. Customers can also connect Echo Input Portable to new or existing Multi-Room Music group for synchronised streaming across rooms or your entire home. And, if customers have multiple Echo devices within hearing distance, Amazon’s Echo Spatial Perception (ESP) technology intelligently calculates the clarity of their voice and determines which Echo is closest and then responds to the request.
Ask Alexa for entertainment, information, and more
Ask Alexa to play nursery rhymes, games, ask questions about history, geography, learn about math or science, and play bedtime stories including fairytales. Customers can also discover recipes, add groceries to a shopping list, and ask about the nutrition value of food items, and much more.
Control smart home
Control compatible smart home devices such as lights, plugs, and fans from Philips, Wipro, Syska, TP-Link and more by just asking Alexa. Just say “Alexa, turn on the geyser” or “Alexa, turn off the lights”.
Customise the Alexa experience
With a selection of over 30,000 skills in English and over 750 skills in Hindi, customers can enjoy news, radio, educational, stories, devotional and more from Sanjeev Kapoor, Chhota Bheem, ESPN Cricinfo & TED talks. Customers can also enjoy books from Audible or Kindle when moving around the home, just by asking.
Privacy by Design
Like all Echo devices, Echo Input Portable is built with multiple layers of privacy protections, including a mic off button that electronically disconnects the microphones. Additionally, customers have control over their voice recordings—with the ability to view, hear, and delete utterances at Alexa Privacy Settings or in the Alexa app, at any time.

The new Echo Input Portable is available with a black fabric design for an introductory offer of INR 4,999. Customers can pre-order at www.amazon.in/EchoInputPortable, and devices will start shipping from December 18. Customers can also try Echo Input Portable at Amazon Devices kiosks located in select shopping malls across the country.
