According to the timeline stated before, AMD’s third-generation Ryzen processor will be officially launched on July 7. The first entry model is AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 6-core 12-thread, 3.6/4.2 GHz, and the price is 1599 yuan i.e. 199 USD. The final Indian pricing might be a little different but still, a price of around 16-19K INR is possible!
This CPU once again appeared in the benchmark running library this week, the results are very shocking.
Based on the 7nm Zen 2 architecture, the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 in the PassMark CPU test scored a single-thread performance score of 2979. This is higher than the Intel i9-9900K/KF, i7-9700K/KF, i5-9600K/KF and so on. Personally, we too found this shocking. But nonetheless, the scores are still impressive!
To know that the starting price of the Ryzen 5 3600 199 US dollars is 60% cheaper than the i9-9900K puts things into even more perspective!
What’s even more amazing is that this test platform was based on the B450 Aorus M motherboard. There is no sign of overclocking. The memory is equipped with the Zhiqi DDR4-3200 16GB memory (CL14) package. The test found that after switching from DDR4-2666 (CL16) to DDR4-3200 (CL14), the score was improved by 7%.
We will also share our experience with the Ryzen 5 3600 as soon as we get our hands on it. As of now, these leaked scores are indicative of great performance for a budget!
