Amazon Music lands on Google TV and Android TV platforms

amazon music for android tv

According to erstwhile known information we have YouTube music, Spotify, Apple music, Tidal, Deezer, JioSaavn and few other music apps. A lot of them have their own apps for the Android Tv ecosystem. The Swedish music streaming platform Spotify provides extensive support for various devices, from smartphones, tablets, desktops, web pages to TVs, game consoles and other devices. The Spotify Connect function also allows users to seamlessly switch between different devices. Compared to Spotify a lot of big music apps lack such wide device coverage.

Now, users who subscribe to Amazon Music will also have more choices.

Amazon Music, the music streaming service owned by the e-commerce giant Amazon, has finally come to Google TV and Android TV platforms.

Users currently located in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, India, Japan and Australia will be able to use Amazon Music services through smart TVs, set-top boxes and other devices equipped with Android TV or Google TV .

Although Amazon Music does not have the influence of Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music, its broader platform support will also provide users with another new way to listen to their favorite music. This move is expected to help Amazon Music gain more users.

Right now users who use Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant are amongst the highest users of Amazon music as Alexa defaults to using Amazon music in order to play music!
