According to tech publication MySmartPrice’s latest news, Apple officially abandoned its AirPower products on March 29. It was done on the grounds that it can not meet their own standards. But now three months later, i.e. on June 30, Apple has submitted the Apple AirPower trademark application to the World Intellectual Property Organization. It is now being rumoured that Apple may not have fully abandoned AirPower as of yet.
However, some people say that Apple may have done this only for trademark protection. There is no other evidence to prove that Apple will restart the AirPower project.

Apple AirPower Trademark: The poor fate of AirPower till now!
It is known that Apple’s AirPower announced in 2017 has not been listed yet. It was first shown alongside the iPhone X but never actually came out. At the Apple Autumn New Product Launch Conference on September 13 last year, Apple did not even mention this product. Apple’s official website also cancelled all AirPower related information. Plus after some time the news broke out that, AirPower had encountered an “overheating” problem. This eventually led to the cancellation of Apple AirPower as Apple wouldn’t want to risk their reputation by bringing a faulty product into the market!
AirPower may or may not come back!
Previously, AirPower also appeared on the official website of Malaysia. According to tech media MacRumors report, some online users found that AirPower appeared in the product description of Apple’s iPhone XS smart battery case in Malaysian Online Store, and then the related description was quietly deleted by Apple.
