Leading PC player, Asus India, a Taiwanese technology giant, has emerged as the No.1 Gaming Laptop brand as per International Data Corporation (IDC) with 32.5% market share in Q1 2020. Being ranked as the No. 1 Valuable brand in Taiwan by Interbrand for seven consecutive years the brand has consistently maintained its numero uno ranking in the gaming space as well. ASUS ROG witnessed a surge in demand for gaming laptops since the lockdown was lifted in some parts of the country.

Speaking on the development, Arnold Su, Business Head, Consumer & Gaming PC, System Business Group, Asus India, said,

“Ranking as the No.1 Gaming Laptop brand again reinforces the love and consistent support we have got from our customers, partners, and fans across India. The pandemic has triggered a huge transformation in customer choice and preferences. We have been able to achieve more than double the sales of gaming Laptops in the post lockdown phase in comparison to the pre lockdown phase which bears testimony to the heightened demand for gaming and entertainment products. We are confident to cater to the demand and continue to innovate and excite our customers with feature-rich products.”

The WFH culture has contributed significantly for professionals to spend some quality time gaming on ROG laptops to bust their stress levels. ROG Showdown initiated by Asus also aided gamers and working professionals to participate and utilise their time optimally amidst the current situation.

The thin & light segment has been performing supremely well in the post lockdown phase, especially the Zephyrus series accompanied with the recently launched TUF A15. With the WFH demand for professionals, the TUF series is an absolute fit with design variants, portability, and better battery life. Alongside, for content creators, there has been a steady demand for 17” laptops ensuring efficiency for video editing and other purposes.

Fortifying unwavering commitment to make cutting edge technology available to the customers Asus has been aggressive on the retail expansion front with 7 new ROG stores in – Hyderabad, Delhi, Indore, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Bangalore, and Coimbatore. The brand aims to open 20 new ROG stores by year-end.
