In 2021, Canon is expected to come with a variety of new camera products, including the high-resolution version of EOS R5/EOS R7/EOS R1/EOS C50/EOS C90, 8K cinema projectors and so on.
Among them, the EOS R1 is positioned as the flagship model with RF mount. It can be described as a new machine that industry professionals have been looking forward to. Even though many people may not be able to afford it, but the hype is inevitable.
According to the latest news, Canon will release EOS R1 in the second half of 2021. It is rumoured that the 2020 Tokyo Olympics will be held from July 23 to August 8, 2021. If it is held as scheduled, the Canon EOS R1 camera is likely to be unveiled at the stadium and will be officially released after the Olympics.
Earlier news said that the Canon EOS R1 can shoot 6K (6144 x 3160 pixels) video. And it is being guessed that it is equipped with at least a 21 mega pixel image sensor with a 3:2 ratio.
It is worth mentioning that it will use a newly designed global shutter full-frame image sensor to create Canon’s highest high-speed continuous shooting speed record . The autofocus system is also expected to be more powerful than the existing EOS R5 and R6.
