GALAX HOF Extreme 50S PCIe 5.0 SSD Launched with Speeds upto 12400 MB/S

GALAX HOF EXTREME 50S PCIe 5.0 SSD

On June 21, GALAX, a technology company, announced the release of its second PCIe 5.0 SSD, called the EXTREME 50S. This announcement followed the launch of GALAX’s previous SSD, the HOF EXTREME 50 SSD.

The EXTREME 50S boasts faster speeds than its predecessor, with maximum read and write speeds of 12,400/11,800 MB/s and a maximum random read/write speed of 1,500,000/1,500,000.

In comparison, the previous generation SSD had a maximum read speed of just over 10,000 MB/s. The HOF EXTREME 50S SSD uses Phison’s PCIe 5.0 master PS5026-E26, which is a cutting-edge technology designed to improve performance.

The SSD also features a new ECC algorithm technology and fifth-generation LDPC error correction capability, which help to maintain data accuracy and reduce the risk of data loss.

The SSD utilizes 232-layer NAND flash memory, a type of technology that allows for a higher density of data storage in a smaller space. This technology also allows for faster data transfer rates.

To further improve the speed of data transfer and extend the life of the SSD, the HOF EXTREME 50S is equipped with DRAM LPDDR4/DDR4 cache.

At present, the HOF EXTREME 50S SSD is available in a 2TB capacity, with a larger 4TB capacity version set to be launched later. GALAX has also made improvements to the SSD’s heat dissipation capabilities.

The SSD features an active metal heat dissipation vest with large-area pure copper heat dissipation fins, which help to dissipate heat more efficiently. The SSD casing and bottom are also equipped with double-sided thermal pads, which improve heat conduction. Additionally, the metal casing of the heat sink is silver-plated, giving the SSD an impressive appearance.

GALAX has stated that the HOF EXTREME 50S SSD will be released soon and will be made available on major e-commerce platforms. This new SSD is expected to perform exceptionally well and is likely to appeal to a wide range of consumers, including those who require high-speed data transfer and improved data storage capabilities.
