Google’s Chrome OS to come with PDF OCR text recognition!

Google Chrome OS will launch with some new features, scanning applications support PDF OCR text recognition!

According to reputed tech publication AndroidPolice’s news, Google is about to launch a new function for Chrome OS, the exclusive operating system of Chromebook laptops. The scanning application will support OCR text recognition of PDF documents. This type of laptop is very popular in the education market for many countries and commercial markets because of its very high-cost performance ratio. It was the fastest-growing laptop category in 2020.

Their report discovered the new features of this system from the Chromium Gerrit platform, which will perform OCR text recognition on scanned documents, allowing users to directly search for words.

We now know that Google has integrated text recognition in the Docs application, but it is not clear whether the new function supports the recognition of handwritten text. In addition, the scanning application also supports packaging the scanned images into a PDF file and scanning multiple images at once. Multiple sources have said that the new features help to greatly reduce the workload of teachers and other professions, and the scanning application OCR text recognition feature will appear in the next beta version of Chrome OS that will be updated in the next few weeks.
