Honor Germany’s Twitter announced that the Honor 20 Pro will be sent to DxOMark soon. And now it seems that the top names of the list will have to change. Considering the fact that the Honor 20 Pro has arguably one of the best cameras around it’s entirely possible!
Not a long time ago, the OnePlus 7 Pro was released, and it scored 111 points on the DxOMark thereby ranking third. At present on DxOMark’s top five ranking Chinese mobile phones account for three spots. I don’t know what the Honor 20 Pro’s DxOMark score would be but a top five spot is more than likely for this smartphone.
Just in the last week officials from Honor also posted three Honor 20 Pro photo samples highlighting its amazing low light photography powers.
Of the three photo samples posted online, two were shot with the Honor 20 Pro’s main 48 megapixel sensor, using the new AIS super night mode. And the third was shot with a super wide-angle lens sensor. The EXIF ??information of the photo shows that the Honor 20 Pro’s 48 megapixel sensor is equipped with an f/1.4 super large aperture lens, which should be the industry’s largest rear lens aperture to date. This also means that the low light capabilities of this smartphone would be next level!
As for the wide-angle lens, EXIF ??data shows it as f/2.2 aperture and a 17mm focal length.
Honor 20 Pro camera specifications
According to previous reports, the Honor 20 Pro uses an LCD hole-punch display style design and the four cameras on the rear. It is reported that the sensors used are respectively 48MP main camera (Sony IMX586) + 16MP super wide angle + 8MP telephoto + 2MP depth of field/macro sensor. The front camera sensor is a 32MP one with more details still unclear!
From what we have seen about this device already this is definitely going to be a game changer in terms of smartphone photography. Now all that’s actually left is to test this device! So guys what do you think? Would the Honor 20 Pro trump every other smartphone out there with its camera capabilities or would the image processing algorithms fall short? Only time can tell!
