Honor 6x is a 5.5-inch smartphone that comes with a special feature of two rear cameras of 12 MP and 2 MP and an 8 MP front selfie camera. It has a huge battery of 3340 mAh which is made to last for two days.
Its price is around 15K INR for the normal 3 GB RAM/32 GB storage variant. The 4 GB variant is a little higher priced around 16K INR and it’s not yet available in large quantities. It is only available on Amazon.in via a flash sale model.
The Honor 6X was launched last year in China in the month of October, with its dual camera being its biggest highlight. The smartphone was launched in Grey, Blue, Gold, Rose Gold, and silver variants with a starting price of CNY 999 (approx. Rs. 9990).
The smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch full HD display. It is powered by a 655 octa-core Kirin Processor. It supports dual sim (GSM + GSM). Honor 6X comes with three variants- 3 GB RAM/32 GB internal storage, 4 GB RAM/32 GB internal storage, 4 GB RAM/64 GB internal storage, and an expandable memory up to 128 GB.
Coming back to its highlight, this smartphone’s dual camera features a 12-megapixel camera and 2 megapixel one just below it. And in the front, it has an 8 MP front-facing camera. The fingerprint sensor is at the back of the smartphone, just below the dual camera.
Honor claims that the smartphone can unlock in a time of 0.3 seconds and during our period of usage we found this claim to be true in most of the use cases.
We also have done a full camera review for the Honor 6x. You can find the link to that video in this post itself. Long story short the Honor 6x does take really color-accurate photos.
But the sharpness and saturation in the images are a bit less when compared to a few other smartphone cameras in the same price range.

Video Review
For a price of around 15K INR, the base model for the Honor 6x faces tough competition from the likes of Redmi Note 4, Coolpad Cool 1 Dual, and Lenovo P2. From what we got to know by using this smartphone we can easily say that the camera for this one is the amongst the best ones available right now.
If we talk about raw performance then Coolpad Cool 1 Dual easily beats it and it’s almost as powerful as the Redmi Note 4. But if we talk about all-around smooth performance then the Honor 6x nails it and the phone is quite smooth to use in normal day-to-day usage.
It does have almost all the features required to be a good budget smartphone and does pack in quite a punch in terms of design too. If you are out there to buy a new smartphone in the sub 20K price bracket then the Honor 6x is one of those smartphones that you can definitely consider.
