As per reports emerging on August 11, it has come to our attention, corroborated by Indian Tech YouTuber Technical Guruji and other reliable sources, that Honor is poised to make a comeback in the Indian mobile phone market with the launch of a new device.
Furthermore, it has been revealed that the company has been engaging in discussions with executives from other prominent brands. This latest development seems to solidify the aforementioned speculation.
The official X account of HONOR Tech recently took to social media, making an announcement about bringing exciting news specifically tailored for the Indian market.
In a significant show of support, Madhav Sheth, the former CEO of realme India, shared and forwarded this post, thereby confirming his association with Honor.
Upon conducting our investigation, we discovered that Honor had ceased introducing new products to the Indian market in 2020, resulting in an extended hiatus with no mobile phone releases.
Although Honor had never made an official statement regarding its withdrawal from the Indian market, it’s growth and new product launches had been noticeably absent over the past three years.
Technical Guruji, an influential Indian Tech Influencer boasting a staggering 23 million YouTube followers, speculates that Honor might unveil the Honor 90 smartphone in India during the month of September. However, he refrained from disclosing a specific launch date.
The Honor 90 mobile phone has already made its debut in numerous global markets. Sporting an exquisite mirror moon design, it weighs a modest 183g and boasts a sleek thickness of 7.8mm.

Featuring a striking 6.7-inch 3840Hz ultra-high frequency dimming four-curved screen, this device offers impressive specifications such as support for 1600nit peak brightness, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, a remarkable 1.07 billion color depth, and a fluid 120Hz refresh rate.
Additionally, it has received TÜV Rheinland’s flicker-free certification. Under the hood, the Honor 90 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen1 (enhanced version) chip and houses a robust 5000mAh battery, which supports rapid 66W charging.
When it comes to photography capabilities, the Honor 90 boasts a 200-megapixel primary main camera (f/1.9), complemented by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle macro lens, a 2-megapixel depth-of-field lens, and a 50-megapixel front-facing portrait lens.
It has been reported that the anticipated price of this device in India is expected to be below 30,000 rupees (Editor’s note: approximately $365 or 2628 yuan at the current exchange rate).
