For many years, Notepad has been a go-to text editor for Windows users. However, It had several limitations, including difficulty in managing multiple text files at once.
This often meant having to switch between multiple Notepad windows, which was time-consuming and frustrating. But with the recent update of Windows 11, Microsoft announced Notepad version 11.2212.33.0.
The new Notepad features multi-tab functionality. It is the ability to configure Notepad to open files in a new tab within the existing window.
From now on, whenever you double-click a file in File Explorer, it will automatically open in a new tab within the existing Notepad window instead of a new window.
