We are already halfway through 2019. Huawei’s Trump ban situation also seems to have reached a resolution now. Now all that we are waiting for is Huawei’s next-generation Kirin processor and Mate flagship smartphone! And if rumours are to be believed they aren’t really far away!
Yesterday, there was a leak that the Huawei Mate 30 series will be unveiled in the Russian market in December. The International version is expected to show up in November, a little later than last year’s Mate 20 series.
Subsequently, a leaked image of the Mate 30 protective case appeared on the Internet.

It can be seen that there is a large circular opening in the middle of the top, and there are HUAWEI and LEICA words on the edge.
This begs the question of whether the rear camera combination has been changed from vertical to horizontal? Would it be arranged around a circle?
The subsequent rendering of a so-called Mate 30 back seems to confirm this point. The rear four cameras are centred in a circular area with a flash at the bottom. This design certainly looks good but right now nothing is for sure!
This design also looks a lot like the Nokia 9 PureView released at the beginning of this year. The rear five cameras on that phone were also arranged in such an eye-catching circular fashion.
Huawei Mate 30 renders: Are these even true?
But at this point of time, all of these are renders and nothing close to real-world leaks. It does not actually represent the final shape of Huawei Mate 30. The authenticity of the protective case is also seriously doubtful at this point in time!
There is a relatively more reliable leak which says that Mate 30’s design will be more radical. Huawei is expected to remove the power button, volume button and the device won’t have any physical buttons. All of this would be done while the body shape and curve will be more different. The screen to body ratio of this resulting smartphone would also be very good!
Earlier some reputed tech publications also published a set of Mate 30 Pro renderings and some specifications as well.
From the previously posted renders, we can see a curved body, the left and right borders are almost zero on that phone. The forehead and chin are also extremely narrow. It would have a dual punch hole shape. The back would still have four camera sensors but the layout from this render is drastically different. And the whole module is centred. Three cameras and the flash form a square, and the other camera is located at the bottom alone if we go by this render.
Huawei Mate 30 specifications till now!
Specifications wise the device is expected to come with an AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 60Hz but the size is unknown right now. It would come with a Kirin 985 processor with Balong 5000 5G baseband modem. The rear four cameras would support 5x optical zoom, 50x digital zoom etc. The device is expected to come with a battery capacity of 4200mAh. It’s also expected to support 55W super fast charging.
So, guys, there’s still quite some time to the Huawei Mate 30 launch and there will be a lot of leaks and renders in the subsequent weeks! Do stay tuned for more updates and leaks!
