Huawei Nova 5 series specifications and details
In the past two years, every new Huawei nova series has been covered by us here and on our YouTube channels. Just some time ago, Huawei officially announced that a new generation of Huawei Nova 5 series will be released today. The official event was today and Huawei’s official Weibo has released key information and features about the Nova 5 series.
Huawei Nova 5 and 5 Pro camera details
The major selling point of the new Huawei Nova 5 series is going to be the 32 MP front camera. It’s going to come with a new super night mode for selfies. The night scene employs an advanced self-timer mechanism which takes in light for some time and then uses AI-based algorithms in order to eliminate shakes and blurs. This results in clearer and brighter selfies even in extremely low light situations.
There have been multiple picture samples posted on Weibo. Judging from these samples, even in the case of poor lighting conditions at night the Huawei nova5 Pro can still take clear photos and control noise. The noise control is excellent, the pictures are sharp and have an ample amount of facial detail. The texture of hair and eyes etc. is also captured beautifully by the selfie camera. Huawei might have a real winner on their hands with this smartphone if it’s selfie camera actually stands up to independent testing by people like us.
As we all know, mobile phone manufacturers in the past often use the super night scene modes of the rear camera as a selling point. The principle is to use a long exposure, multi-frame synthesis, combined with AI software algorithm optimization to make the picture details clearer and brighter. However, the portrait super night scene mode is being seen for the first time. How has Huawei achieved the same is still to be made clear!
In addition to the major upgrade for the portrait super night scene mode for selfies, the rear sensor of Huawei’s Nova 5 series will also be enhanced. Huawei’s official microblog announced that 48 megapixels AI four-shot sensors would be seen for the first time on this series. In addition to the 48 megapixel-pixel high-definition main camera, the new phone will also provide a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, 2-megapixel macro lens and 2 MP depth sensor. This is a flagship-grade setup right here.
Huawei Nova 5 Pro battery and colour options
Not only that, according to the official information, Huawei Nova 5 Pro will also come with upgraded 40W super fast charging. There would be four colours for this series i.e. Border forest, midsummer purple, coral orange and bright black. These multiple colour options would definitely ensure continual user interest!
From the beginning of September 2016, Huawei’s Nova series has established a brand image of “high value, and great selfies”, combining cutting-edge design aesthetics, excellent self-portrait ability and outstanding performance experience, and is committed towards the new generation of consumer groups.

From the first generation Nova to the previous generation Huawei Nova 4, each nova phone has been targeted towards selfie lovers and youth in general. This time too the Huawei Nova 5 series aims to achieve the same. If Huawei can get around the whole Trump ban issue and launch this product at lucrative pricing in India then it would definitely be a top selling product.
