The US smartphone makers, InFocus have adopted an aggressive market approach. They keep on pushing affordable and good-quality smartphones in the market.
Recently InFocus launched M812i and M808i and a budget handset M260, and now they are back with M680. On paper, the device looks pretty loaded, easily comparable with the likes of Moto G3.
Now let’s begin our Infocus M680 review and see what the M680 has in store for us.

Infocus M680 review, the details
Design and Display:
The last two devices i.e. M812i and M808i had a premium all-metallic body, but M680 is somewhat plastic made which is a little disappointing. The only metal available is on the sides which cover buttons and a sim tray.
Still, overall the phone does look premium. The front side of the M680 consists of a 5.5-inch full HD 1920x1080p display, 401 ppi with three capacitive buttons at the bottom, and a whopping 13 MP front-facing camera!
The volume buttons are on the left-hand side and the power button is on the right-hand side. The sim tray is also on the right. There is a 3.5 mm audio jack at the top whereas the bottom consists of a Micro USB port and Mono speaker grill.
Due to the widescreen, one-hand operation is a bit difficult on this device. Also, at 158 grams, the phone is a little heavy to carry. You will need two hands to use the M680. Though the front is pretty plain, the back side has a pleasant feel with a rich finish and minimalistic design containing only a single logo of InFocus.
The display shows vibrant colors, but the text and picture sharpness is a little low. Though the difference is marginal but still noticeable. Another drawback of the display is that InFocus doesn’t provide any screen protection, so you need to invest in good quality tempered glass.
Infocus M680 Review: Software and Performance:
M680 is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek CPU coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB inbuilt memory, expandable up to 64 GB.
The best thing about M680 is that it maintains price to quality ratio. Multitasking on the device was easy and we hardly noticed any lags while making calls or any other issues like device heating while playing heavy games.
M680 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop which has made this device show significant improvement from previous ones, where we notice UI issues and a number of apps crashing. Overall, the device runs just fine.
Gaming Review Video
Here’s our Infocus M680 gaming review, complete with heating tests:
Camera:
M680 comes with a 13MP front and rear camera which is a unique feature. During daylight, the pictures were crisp and clear.
The camera worked smoothly and extra effort was not required to click good pictures like focusing on the shot too much. Even in low light, the performance of the cameras is okay.
Battery:
The battery of M680 was not made keeping in mind the size of the display and other functions of the device. A 2600MaH battery lasted for about 8 hours with normal usage. A 3000-3500 mAh battery would have definitely done wonders for M680.
