Intel’s 10th gen Core H series mobile processors, AMD Ryzen 4000 APU coming soon!

The mobile beasts are expected to hit the market by Mid of March!

At CES, Intel and AMD both brought a number of new processors for laptop and mobile gaming platforms.

According to a lot of tech media reports, exclusive channel news and leaks have said that the 10th generation Core H series standard mobile processors (Comet Lake) will ship in mid-March, and AMD Renoir 4000 series (Renoir) notebook processors will be available in March or by April at max.

Intel’s Comet Lake-H is still a 14nm process being polished repeatedly. While AMD Ryzen 4000 APU is based on 7nm Zen 2 architecture.

According to Intel, the 10th generation H series is still divided into Core i9, Core i7, Core i5 three series. They will go up to 8 cores and 16 threads. But after further research and work, the frequency will be greatly increased.

Among them, the Core i7 series frequency will be 5GHz. The Core i9 is expected to be even more than 5 GHz in terms of frequency. In the demo PPT, Intel compared the previous generation i7-9750H and AMD Ryzen 7 3750H, both of which were equipped with RTX 2060. The former’s overall office and application performance are 22% ahead, up to 103%, and actual gaming performance is up by 50%.

AMD is also not weak, claiming that the multi-thread performance of the Ryzen 4800H is 46% ahead of the i7-8750H (single thread is 5% ahead). And even more than the desktop i7-9700K by 7%. The graphics performance is 39% ahead of the two. And the content creation performance is about 30% ahead of i7-9750H.

It’s expected that the 16 inch MacBook Pro would soon get a refresh with the 10th gen Intel chips. This will significantly boost the performance of that model and we might see a MacBook Pro refresh by April or so!

So guys what do you think about these latest chips from Intel and AMD? Is the mobile market really heated up now or are we going to see even better mobile gaming chips in the time to follow?
