Intel’s 11th generation i9 leads AMD single-core performance by 7%

Since the launch of AMD Zen Ryzen, its superior architecture and performance, as well as the final price which is value for money, have been highly sought after by consumers. The single-core performance of the Ryzen 5000 series of Zen3 architecture has also caught up, and it is enough to compete with Intel. In a lot of use cases, the AMD offerings are much better for a lot of consumers.

However, Intel will launch its 11th-generation desktop processor in March 2021. In addition to maintaining the 14nm process, other aspects of the architecture and technology are completely changed, and the single-core performance is also surpassing AMD again.

The ranking of the benchmark software PassMark officially included Rocket Lake, including two high-end models Core i9-11900K and i7-11700K. The single-core scores reached 3764 and 3548, respectively, ranking first and second on the list.

Ryzen 7 5800X fell to third place with a score of 3514. The Intel Core i9-11900K leads by about 7%, and the i7-11700K leads by 1%.
