Recently, reputed tech website LaptopMedia said that a “passerby” provided them with a notebook equipped with i5-10300H, and now some preliminary tests and benchmarks for this processor have also come out.
In CineBench R20, the Core i5 10300H multi-threaded performance score is 1924cb, which brings about 11% performance improvement over the previous generation Core i5-9300H.
In terms of parameters, the core i5-10300H and i5-9300H both have 4 cores and 8 threads. The i5-9300H goes from 2.40 – 4.10 GHz, while the i5-10300H will have 2.50 – 4.30 GHz clock speed. This is definitely an improvement. Memory support has also changed. The Core i5-10300H supports up to DDR4-3200, while the older i5-9300H has support for only up to DDR4-2666 RAM.
Notebooks equipped with the tenth generation of Intel’s Mobile chipsets will also be available soon. Right now AMD has also launched a 7nm H-series APU with a core number of 8 cores. This year’s laptop market is definitely going to shake up with all of these announcements from both Intel and AMD.
