Every once in a while we get a leak which seems too absurd to be true. The recent leak about Intel’s latest 10th gen mobile processor i.e. the Intel Core i5 10500H sounds just like that.
According to their yearly launch schedule, Intel is about to launch two mobile CPUs, i5-10300H and i7-10750H, to provide options for the 2020 gaming laptop segment. Now, the well-known leaker APISAK on Twitter has found a unique “6-core 8-thread” processor in the database, the model is Core i5-10500H.
From the model point of view, the core i5-10500H should have performance between the i5-10300H and i7-10750H. But the specifications of 6 cores and 8 threads as suggested from the leak is very rare. If the 3DMark data has been detected correctly, Intel’s architecture has reached a new level altogether. Or it can well be just a big blunder altogether!
Reputed tech publication NoteBookcheck has said that the Core i5-10500H may be the world’s first 6-core 8-thread processor. 3DMark shows that the Core i5-10500H is clocked at 2.5 GHz and the full-core turbo boost frequency is expected to be around 3 GHz for the same.
At CES, AMD introduced the Ryzen 7 4800H processor with 8 cores and 16 threads and the Ryzen 5 4600H with 6 cores and 12 threads. While Intel chose to increase the core frequency to compete, the newly leaked Core i5-10500H may be a competitor to deal with the Ryzen 5 4600H.
