We recently reported on September 25 that Intel’s upcoming Core i9-13900K Raptor Lake flagship CPU has become the fastest single-threaded chip in the PassMark benchmark ranking.
According to previous leaks and news, the Intel Core i9-13900K is equipped with 24 cores and 32 threads, a turbo frequency of 5.8GHz, basic power consumption of 125W, and a maximum turbo frequency of 253W.
In the most recent PassMark test, the Core i9-13900K’s single-threaded performance score was 9.5% higher than the previous-generation Alder Lake processor, reaching 4833 points.
In the multi-threading test, the Intel Core i9-13900K processor scored 54,433 points which are 19 per cent higher than the AMD R9 5950X processor. However, AMD’s latest Ryzen 7000-series processors haven’t been featured in the PassMark test, so the first position is only temporary.
We have learned that it is reported that Intel’s 13th-generation Core processors will be released in the early morning of September 28, Beijing time, and will be launched on October 20. The first listed models include the i9, i7, and i5 K series models. The 13th-generation Core i9K model will be available for pre-sale in China after its release on September 28. After that, there seems to be a domestic launch event on October 13, when the i7K and i5K models will be available for pre-sale.
