Intel Core Ultra 1st Generation Processor Shows Up Online: Ultra 7 Single-Core Reaches 5.0GHz

A new generation of powerful low power mobile processors by Intel are coming up!

According to recent news articles and a blog post by @opus on BiliBili, Intel’s upcoming Core Ultra 1st generation mobile processor has achieved some impressive speeds. The Ultra 7 model has reached a single-core speed of 5.0 GHz, while the Ultra 9 model has surpassed that mark.

An online leaker known as “Moore’s Law Is Dead” revealed details about the Core Ultra 1st generation processor’s specs back in early July. They claimed that the processor would feature up to 6 large cores, 8 small cores, and an 8-core Xe internal GPU.

Intel refers to this integrated GPU as a “new leap” for low-power GPUs, boasting increased graphics performance and optimized power consumption and chip area efficiency. Intel boasts that the graphics cores would be increased by 33% due to this new low-power integrated GPU design. Additionally, it supports the full range of DX12 Ultimate APIs.

Here are the detailed specifications for each processor:

  • The 7W processor features one large core and eight small cores, accompanied by a maximum of four Xe cores within its internal GPU.
  • Stepping up to the 9W processor gets you two large cores and eight smaller ones, paired with a GPU consisting of up to four Xe cores.
  • Moving up further, the 15W processor packs four big cores and eight little ones inside, alongside an eight-core Xe GPU.
  • At 28W, you’ll find six large cores, eight small ones, and an eight-core Xe GPU.
  • Finally, the top-of-the-line 45W version contains six large cores, eight baby cores, and – you guessed it – another eight-core Xe GPU.

All things considered, Intel’s Core Ultra 1st generation seems like a force to be reckoned with in the world of mobile processing. We expect them to officially debut sometime around CES next year. Keep your eyes peeled!
