Intel NUC 13 Rugged Mini PCs Set to Launch Soon!

Equipped with Alder Lake-N processors, Intel is about to launch the NUC 13 Rugged mini host
Today on May 20th, Intel is preparing to launch the NUC 13 Rugged, a fanless mini PC designed with a dust-proof chassis and passive cooling system that supports 24/7 all-weather operation.
The NUC Rugged is primarily used in environments with strict environmental requirements, such as warehouses, factories, and digital signage. The new NUC 13 Rugged, codenamed “Bravo Canyon,” features an upgrade to Intel Alder Lake-N chips.

The Bravo Canyon NUC can support up to 16GB of DDR5-4800 RAM, which can be upgraded by the user thanks to SODIMM slots. It also includes 64GB of eMMC storage, an M.2 2280 slot for PCIe x2 NVMe storage, and an optional SATA SSD M.2 3042 B-Key socket.
Customers will have the option of choosing a more compact model (measuring 174 x 108 x 25.9mm) with only an internal heatsink or a slightly taller version with an external heatsink that has fins on top for improved cooling.
Both models have an IP50 rating for dust resistance, support Windows 10 IoT Enterprise, Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9, and come equipped with the following ports:
- 2 x HDMI 2.1
- 2 x 2.5GbE Ethernet Intel i26- 2 x USB 3.2 Type-A ports
- 2 x USB 2.0 Type-A ports
Intel has not yet announced the price or release date for these products, but according to Olivier of FanlessTech, they are expected to be very competitively priced.
