Since the iPhone 11 series was not 5G ready a lot of people felt that it wouldn’t sell huge numbers. But the sales figures have proved that everyone’s worries are redundant. In a speech to analysts on Wednesday’s financial conference call, Tim Cook said that Apple’s September performance is worth celebrating, thanks to the arrival of the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max.
However, reputed tech publication PhoneArena posted that the iPhone 12 to be released next year would be Apple’s most anticipated iPhone since a long time.
According to their report, the shape of the iPhone 12 will no longer be a rounded sleek design style, but they will adopt a more sharp and more square aesthetic concept, inheriting the middle frame design of the iPhone 4 and iPhone 5 models.
Earlier, Apple analyst Guo Minghao pointed out in a report that the 2020 iPhone will support 5G, and the metal frame design will change significantly, including more complex segmentation design, new trenching and injection moulding procedures, and sapphire or glass. The cover will be assembled to protect the grooved injection moulding structure. Guo Minghao also predicted that the new 2020 iPhone design will change significantly and will be similar to the iPhone 4.
It is reported that the structure of the new iPhone still uses the metal middle frame and front and rear 2/2.5D glass design, but the metal middle frame surface will be changed to the similar design of the iPhone 4, replacing the current surface design.
PA believes that although the iPhone 12 can not cancel the notch design, it will greatly reduce the size of the notch while maintaining the full functionality of the Face ID.
In addition, the iPhone 12 is likely to be Apple’s first four-camera phone, including wide-angle lens, super wide-angle lens, telephoto lens, and a TOF lens. After adding the ToF lens, the iPhone 12’s camera will be able to achieve a more precise depth of field.
According to the news, the Apple engineering team is still testing to extend the 5G antenna to more than 1mm to improve signal transmission and reception. The iPhone 12 antenna material is expected to move from plastic and switch to glass, ceramic or sapphire.
