The Lenovo Vibe K5 plus is one of the recent smartphones by Lenovo and it brings a decent value for money addition to the price point for which it retails. Amidst the high competition in the sub 10,000 rupees price bracket the Lenovo Vibe K5 plus sits rightly at a price point where many other great competitors like the Coolpad Note 3, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 etc. are present. If someone is really constrained by budget and wished for a decent phone around 8-9K then the Lenovo K5 plus does offer them a good choice. Let’s talk about the specifications of this phone now.
Table of Contents
Lenovo Vibe K5 plus specifications: Hardware.
The device comes with a 5 inch full HD 1920×1080 pixel display. It does offer ok viewing angles but all Lenovo smartphones have a slight issue with the display brightness as the display is not that visible in bright sunlight.
The phone would be available in silver and gold colours from the end of march 2016.
It comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 octa core chipset and an Adreno 405 GPU, so it’s sufficiently endowed for a budget smartphone. It comes with 2 GB of RAM and Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. It comes with 16 GB of internal storage with options to expand the storage via a microSD card upto 32 GB.

The K5 Plus has a 13 MP primary camera and a 5 MP secondary camera. The primary camera as well as the secondary camera on the Lenovo Vibe K5 plus are nothing to write home about. Both of these cameras didn’t offer sufficient detail and colour reproduction was also off the mark.

In terms of Audio output the Dolby audio that comes on this device is a saving grace. It has two dual stereo speakers but they are placed on the back so sound does get muffled up and you have to cup your hands in order to amplify the sound coming to you when holding the phone in your hands.
It comes with almost all connectivity options and also comes with FM radio which is something being ommitted by many smartphone makers these days.
The device comes with a removable Li-Ion 2750 mAh battery and though the battery is good in terms of being user removable but how long will it actually last is something that we can comment on only after using this device for a long duration of time.
It’s a dual SIM device and supports LTE.
Overall the Vibe K5 plus is something that’s decent for it’s price range of 8400 INR but if you look at the competition then they have improved vastly in similar price range so that’s why it becomes difficult to pick up the Lenovo Vibe K5 plus as a definitive pick in this price segment.
