LG Electronics, India’s leading consumer durable major has yet again been recognized for its continuous quest to bring innovative approaches in technology. This time, the brand has been awarded a prestigious honour of being the ‘Most Desired Brand” for the Refrigerator. This comes in addition to LG maintaining its record in the India market as a Leader since 2009. TRA has also recognized the brand for being the ‘Most Desired’ for the Washing Machine category in 2020. This recognition is given by TRA (Research agency) Proprietary Matrix on Desire reaching various decision-makers over 14 cities in India.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr Vijay Babu- VP, Home Appliances, LG Electronics India said
“This recognition for two of our most popular products- the Refrigerator and Washing Machine, is a great source of motivation for us in order to innovate further and strategize for a bright future. Our focus has always been to understand the Indian consumer’s needs by building trust and confidence in our products. As a white goods manufacturer, we focus on building capabilities in the Indian market through a wide price range for our various product offerings.”
Commenting on the occasion, N. Chandramouli-CEO, TRA Research, said
“We would like to congratulate LG for winning the recognition in two categories i.e. Washing Machine and Refrigerator. The results were based on a nation-wide survey in over 14 cities that was done considering the feedback from various Indian home appliance users. LG has always stood at the forefront of the innovations in the Indian market because it has been a true balance of reliable convenience and smart innovation.”
In recent times, LG has redefined the experience of ‘Home’ for Indian consumers through its futuristic technology accompanied by pioneering aesthetics. Most recently, it was awarded internationally at CES 2020 with the Innovation award for AI-driven Front-Load washing machines. In India, LG’s patented direct-drive technology has been recognized multiple times for involving AI into personalized Home Appliances. It intelligently selects from six different wash programs and gives an effective wash. The machine smartly senses fabric type and offers different washes for different types of clothes.
LG has retained its position as the Market Leader for refrigerators since 2009. The brand has been one of the true pioneers of innovation for the Refrigerator, especially in India. Energy efficiency has been a key focus while developing a new range of refrigerators hence LG has extended its Inverter technology to its double door refrigerator range that ensures 51% energy savings, besides providing long-lasting freshness.
LG Refrigerators also have Inverter Linear Compressor technology which maintains a steady and evener temperature inside the system, keeping the food fresh with a variance of a limited +0.5 °C. The LG Door Cooling+™ technology makes the inside temperature more even and cools the refrigerator at a 35% faster rate than the conventional cooling system. Moreover, LG Refrigerators have other unique features like Dual Fridge (Convertible), Auto Smart Connect, LGThin Q etc. which also enhances the overall consumer convenience.
