Mediatek Challenges Qualcomm with U.S. Flagship Launch

Discover how Mediatek aims to rival Qualcomm by launching a flagship smartphone with its new chip in the U.S

Mediatek plans to launch its flagship smartphone in the United States in partnership, posing a challenge to Qualcomm’s dominance.

Mediatek’s Amy Guesner, Vice President of Enterprise Sales, discussed the company’s progress in the U.S. and Europe at an analysts’ day event.

The flagship smartphone will feature MediaTek’s chip, marking its debut in the U.S. market.

Qualcomm currently holds a strong position in the high-end flagship market in the U.S., where Android flagship devices predominantly use Qualcomm’s latest chips.

Samsung’s Exynos and Google’s Tensor chips have struggled to impact Qualcomm’s dominance.

Mediatek’s Dimensity 9000 series is closing the performance gap with Qualcomm. It remains unclear which manufacturer Mediatek will partner with to enter the U.S. market.
