According to recent news, the price of Mediatek’s Tianji 9400 has increased. The vivo X200 series, which debuts in October, will be the first to feature this chip, followed by the OPPO Find X8 series later in Q4.
On August 3, @Digital Chat Station revealed that the initial models of the vivo X200 series, equipped with the Mediatek Tianji 9400 flagship platform, will compete with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen4.
Additionally, OPPO will introduce two Find X8 models featuring the chip in the fourth quarter of this year.
The Tianji 9400 focuses on enhancing energy efficiency and AI performance, with its NPU computing power improved by approximately 40%.
However, this enhancement has also led to an increase in price, suggesting that the cost of this generation of small-screen flagship phones might also rise.
In May, it was reported that the Tianji 9400 chip utilizes TSMC’s second-generation N3 process, comprising one Cortex-X5 core, three Cortex-X4 cores, and four Cortex-A720 cores, with the X5 core operating at around 3.4GHz.
Previous leaks indicated that the vivo X200 series is expected to include five models, encompassing the regular “medium cup, large cup, super-large cup,” and a “medium and large cup” version, which is positioned as the “small screen flagship.”
