The latest Windows 11 preview build 25309 introduces a new set of theme-aware icons that make widgets look eye-pleasing and improve their visibility.
The general design of icons remains the same, but they now have slightly different shades and colours, with better contrast between dark and light backgrounds. The higher contrast ratio and new colour tones make information clearer, especially for visually impaired users, Microsoft said. You can check the difference between the two sets of icons in the screenshot below:

Microsoft is updating widgets for Windows 11 with the so-called Windows Web Experience Pack in the Microsoft Store, which helps to add new features to all Windows 11 expenses. Once Microsoft finishes testing in the Dev Channel, we can expect updated weather icons on Windows 11 22H2 and 21H2.
In addition to making the taskbar easier to read, Windows 11 build 25309 will also extend automatic colour management to more users, which can display better colours on 10-bit monitors -16 bit and can even improve the Image Quality for 8-bit displays or low spec panel bit displays.
