Next-Gen Xbox to Support Steam Games

Microsoft’s upcoming Xbox will integrate Steam support, enhancing its gaming library. Expected release in 2026.

Microsoft’s next-generation Xbox console is expected to feature built-in Steam client support, allowing users to play Steam games directly.

According to Jez Corden, an editor at Windows Central, the integration of Steam is “100% certain” for the upcoming Xbox console.

Previously, there were rumors of Microsoft planning a $16 billion all-cash acquisition of Valve Corporation, but Corden dismissed these as unreliable.

The next-gen Xbox speculated to release in 2026, will debut with titles like “Call of Duty” and is anticipated to include a handheld version developed by the Surface team.

During a special Xbox event in February, Xbox President Sarah Bond highlighted the upcoming hardware’s significant technological advancements and promised more exciting announcements during the holiday season.
