NVIDIA Invests $200 Million in AI Development Center in Indonesia: A Leap Towards Southeast Asia’s Technological Advancement

NVIDIA’s collaboration with Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison marks a $200M investment in Indonesia’s first AI center to talent and infrastructure.

NVIDIA has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, marking a significant leap in Southeast Asia’s technological landscape with a $200 million investment.

This collaboration is set to establish an Artificial Intelligence development center in Solo, Central Java, Indonesia, furthering the nation’s ambitions as an AI hub in the region.

This move comes as part of NVIDIA’s strategic focus on Southeast Asia, with Indonesia playing a pivotal role due to its robust telecommunications infrastructure and digital talent pool.

The center, dubbed “Indonesia AI Nation,” aims to foster innovation in AI and technology, positioning Indonesia at the forefront of the digital era.

The partnership was initiated at last month’s World Mobile Congress, where the two companies laid the groundwork for integrating NVIDIA’s Blackwell chips into Indosat’s infrastructure.

This memorandum of understanding signed in Barcelona enables Indosat, through its subsidiary Lintasarta, to provide a comprehensive AI platform in Indonesia, making it NVIDIA’s premier cloud provider partner in the country.
