According to recent reports on January 1st, we now know that the RTX 4080 12GB cancelled by Nvidia will re-launch on January 5 as the NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti, and is expected to be priced at USD 799/RMB 6499.
Videocardz now has official performance figures for the RTX 4070 Ti. This graphics card scored 11258 points in 3DMark TimeSpy Extreme (4K) and 13698 points in FireStrike Ultra (4K), which is close to the previous generation flagship card RTX 3090Ti ($1999).
It is 20%~30% weaker than RTX 4080, and 32% to 39% stronger than Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti.
It even slightly outperforms the Navi 31-based RX 7900 XT ($899) in the Speed Way and Port Royal benchmarks when using ray tracing, but falls short in normal performance.
We had reported that Nvidia’s official website has now updated the specifications information of the RTX 4070 Ti, basically confirming that this is the RTX 4080 12G that Nvidia cancelled not long ago.
As shown in the figure above, the RTX 4070 Ti has a 7680 CUDA core configuration. The GPU acceleration frequency can reach 2.61GHz, 100MHz higher than the RTX 4080/4090. The onboard memory is 12GB GDDR6X, and the core specifications are the same as the cancelled RTX 4080 12G.
Nvidia will hold a new product launch conference at 0:00 on January 4, 2023, Beijing time (10:30 PM at night in India). In addition to the RTX 4070 Ti, Nvidia is expected to release the RTX 4070 model. This graphics card uses the AD104-250-A1 GPU and has 5888 CUDA cores along with 12GB 21Gbps GDDR6X memory.
