OnePlus unveils OnePlus 11 Concept at MWC 2023

New, boundary-pushing technology reinforces OnePlus’ leadership in performance Bringing more co-developed technologies with industry partners

Global technology company OnePlus redefines industry standards with new active cooling technology – Active CryoFlux fits in an imaginative design – the newest OnePlus 11 Concept phone at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023. The event also showcases OnePlus 11 5G – the recently announced flagship that demonstrates the latest co-developing technology with Qualcomm and Perfect World Games with in-built AR and ray tracing capability.

“Ten years ago, we entered the industry to create products that we ourselves actually wanted to use. Along the way, we grew together with our community and fans—striving to do better each day, and aspiring to push the boundaries for each product. The overwhelmingly positive response from users is reflected in our 173% increment in sales volume of OnePlus 11 5G1, and a testament that we have been on the right path for excellence in creating fast and smooth experience possible,”

said Kinder Liu, President and COO of OnePlus.

“That’s driven us to innovate on high performance and also continue to work with industry-leading partners to bring the technology to life.” “With our recently announced ‘1+4+X’ product strategy, we aim to expand the OnePlus ecosystem and enhance integration between devices and beyond with our portfolio of supporting products, including TVs, audio, wearables, and the newly launched tablet, and the vast array of products which can connect to OnePlus ecosystem to build a superior digital life,”

Disrupting the future with forward-thinking technology

Active Cryoflux on OnePlus 11 Concept

The main feature of the OnePlus 11 Concept phone is Active Cryoflux—a game-changer in cooling technology, which can reduce the temperature up to 2.1?, improving the frame rate by 3-4 fps during gameplay2. The Active CryoFlux can also decrease the temperature when charging by 1.6? – shaving off at least 30s-45s from the charging time.

Determined to push the limits, OnePlus miniaturized the industry-grade cooling capability of gaming PCs into a smartphone. The state-of-the-art Active CryoFlux functions with the industrial-grade ceramic piezoelectric micropumps at the centre, connected to pipelines sandwiched between an upper and lower diaphragm.

The micropump takes up an area of less than 0.2 cm2, enabling the liquid to circulate around the pipelines without significantly increasing a phone’s weight and thickness. The OnePlus 11 Concept is designed to demonstrate the possibility of Active CryoFlux in terms of aesthetics. The device evokes a futuristic aesthetic with its glass unibody, deeply curved for a thinner bezel with a side pull-up height of 5.04mm.

And a clear rear cover delivers a mesmerizing view of the micro liquid flowing through the pipelines, which is completed with a magnetron-spluttering coating where metal and alloy are deposited in tiny amounts onto the case using an electric field.

The same aesthetic is found in the camera lens. The icy-cold Active CryoFlux liquid flows through the camera in a halo, and the lens area is surrounded by Guilloché etching, a very precise decorative technique that engraves an intricate pattern. This process is used in the design of several luxury timepieces. In yet another industry first, OnePlus draws inspiration from the traditional craftsmanship of a watch, injecting a sense of fashion and artistic flair with the latest advances in technology.

Elevating the entertainment experience on the OnePlus 11 5G with ray tracing technology and Snapdragon SpaceTM XR Platform

Supported by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform, the OnePlus 11 5G comes with hardware-accelerated ray tracing which is able to simulate real-time light effects. To better help the audience to experience in-game ray tracing technology, OnePlus cooperates with Perfect World Games to showcase ray tracing in the Tower of Fantasy gameplay on the OnePlus 11 5G.

The OnePlus 11 5G is the first Snapdragon SpacesTM-ready phone, and it serves as an entry point for the Snapdragon SpacesTM  XR developer program, allowing developers to bring their XR ideas to life and explore the full potential of cutting-edge head-worn AR, and unlocking a real-world experience for live concerts, films, and other exclusive events for users, and boosts the augmented reality gaming performance as a remote controller when pairing with the Snapdragon XR2 AR Wireless Smart Viewer.
