OnePlus 7 Pro more leaks, UFS 3.0 storage, stereo speakers and more!

Will we get to know all about this phone even before the launch!
Due to the delayed launch of the Samsung Galaxy Fold, the One Plus 7 Pro is expected to be the first flagship machine to be announced with UFS 3.0 flash memory chips. The latest news from a credible source at XDA Developers shows that the OnePlus 7 Pro is going to be equipped with UFS 3.0 flash memory. So here we are today with OnePlus 7 Pro more leaks and other juicy details!
OnePlus 7 Pro leaks: storage and other features
According to the test data released by Samsung, UFS 3.0 flash memory (512GB capacity) has a sequential read speed of up to 2100MB/s. It has a write speed up to 410MB/s. A random read speed of 63K IOPS and a write speed of 68K IOPS. When compared to the fastest UFS 2.1 (1TB) the speeds have increased by 1.1 times, 0.58 times, 0.09 times and 0.36 times respectively.
The above image shows the data for the read-write speeds as released by Samsung’s official account.
OnePlus 7 Pro other specs, sound setup and details
In addition to this, the OnePlus 7 Pro is said to have a 2K resolution full view AMOLED display. It would come with a refresh rate of 90Hz. It’s supposed to come with up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB ROM variants. At the back, there are rear AI three-shot (48 MP main + 8 MP telephoto 3x optical zoom + 16 MP wide angle). It has a front popup selfie camera. And it’s expected to come with a battery capacity of 4000mAh. It will come with a 30W fast charging support and so on.
Recently, an official on Weibo revealed that the OnePlus 7 Pro will bring stereo speaker setup. The performance of the display would be superlative. He stressed that the speaker’s position will be redesigned to solve the horizontal screen problem that everyone worries about in a full view display.
It said that the Samsung S10 was not equipped with a new technology screen when it was launched. The screen for the OnePlus 7 Pro would be made by Samsung on-demand, so it has such a high cost. This is because it is not a publicly available module. In addition, a high frame rate on a smartphone is not a new technology. But AMOLED 2K display over 90 Hz is definitely a big deal. This is because the amount of data increases a lot. How high frame rates work with the overall system is a challenge. This requires a lot of software debugging and a complete redesign of how the smartphone works. You can’t just slap a high-resolution high frame rate screen on any phone and expect it to be a smooth experience out of the box.
OnePlus 7 Pro more leaks: Why the need for UFS 3.0?
Since the OnePlus 7 Pro will have a 5G network version, the I/O speed has to keep up with the superfast experience. This means that there’s obviously a need for UFS 3.0 storage on a device like this. Considering this and more details as they come out, it somehow feels justified now that the 7 Pro would start at a price of around 50K INR. But let’s just wait and watch to see how far can OnePlus take the whole flagship killer proposition before actually heading into the flagship territory!
