On May 16, 2024, OnePlus officially launched an anti-counterfeit code system for its accessories, offering traceability with unique codes for each item.
This system will gradually appear on the packaging of various official accessories such as mobile power banks, data cables, wired earphones, cooling clips, adapters, car chargers, protective cases, and backpacks.
OnePlus outlined the procedure to use of these anti-counterfeit codes:
- Scratch off the coating on the packaging to reveal the code.
- Scan the QR code using a smartphone or manually enter the code on the designated verification website to check its authenticity.
The anti-counterfeit codes, which are unique for every item, ensure that once a code has been used, it cannot be reused.
The verification page will display the initial query time of the code. If multiple queries are detected at the first check, it is recommended to validate the product at an OPPO service center.
OnePlus assures that even products in old packaging without the new anti-counterfeit codes are genuine if bought through official channels. However, products purchased outside of official channels should be verified at an OPPO service center.
