On February 8th, Philips debuted the latest iteration of the Fidelio series, the Fidelio L4 headphones. Despite a similar design, the Fidelio L4 is set to launch in the third quarter. As Philips’ premium wireless headphone option, the Fidelio L4 boasts 40mm drivers that are optimized by a new graphene coating, resulting in an improved midrange response and high-frequency sound.
According to Philips, the Fidelio L4 offers a battery life of up to 40 hours with active noise cancellation, surpassing the Sony WH-1000XM5 by 10 hours. With ANC turned off, the battery can last up to 50 hours, and with just a 15-minute charge, the headphones can be used for 5 hours.
The Philips Fidelio L4 boasts support for both Bluetooth 5.3 connections and the Bluetooth LE Audio, Auracast, and LC3 codecs. In addition, the device integrates Sony’s LDAC and offers audio output options through AUX and USB Type-C. To enhance voice call quality and minimize background noise, the Fidelio L4 comes equipped with an in-built microphone.
Philips has yet to reveal the pricing details for the Fidelio L4. You can expect to hear more information in the third quarter, according to several online sources.
