Qualcomm Launches Snapdragon Dev Kit for Windows with X Elite Processor

Qualcomm unveils the Snapdragon Dev Kit for Windows, featuring the powerful X Elite processor, available for pre-order at $899.

According to reports on May 22, Qualcomm announced the launch of the Snapdragon Dev Kit for Windows on the 21st local time.

This development kit is designed to provide Windows developers with hardware support to accelerate the creation of applications for Copilot+ PCs.

The Snapdragon development kit for Windows comes in the form of a mini PC with dimensions of 199x175x35 mm. Twenty percent of its shell is made from ocean plastics. It includes a 180W power adapter and features a Snapdragon X Elite processor model X1E-00-1DE.

The processor’s publicly available specifications match those of the Snapdragon X Elite general flagship model X1E-84-100:

It has a 12-core design, a base frequency of 3.8GHz, a dual-core acceleration frequency of 4.3GHz, a 42MB cache, a GPU with 4.6 TFLOPS computing power, and an NPU with 45 TOPS.

For storage, the Snapdragon Development Kit for Windows is equipped with 32GB LPDDR5X memory and a 512GB NVMe SSD.

Regarding IO interfaces, it includes 3 USB4 Type-C ports, 2 USB 3.2 Type-A ports, 1 RJ45 wired network port, 1 HDMI port, and a 3.5mm audio jack, supporting simultaneous output to three UHD 4K screens.

For wireless connectivity, this development kit uses Qualcomm’s FastConnect 7800 mobile connection system, supporting Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.

Qualcomm has priced the Snapdragon Development Kit for Windows at $899. The kit is now available for pre-order and will be available for retail on June 18.
