RealMe X first look and specifications, price in India!

Is this going to make full view display smartphones affordable?

RealMe has been known for making budget-friendly smartphones in the recent past. None of their smartphones has been really premium, to say the least. But now they have unveiled the RealMe X which is the most premium phone they have ever come up with! They also launched the RealMe X Lite in China which is just a Chinese variant of the RealMe 3 Pro. The RealMe X is just like the RealMe 3 Pro but with a bigger AMOLED screen and camera module like the OnePlus 7 model. Read on for RealMe X first look and price in India!

RealMe X first look and details

The RealMe X comes with a 6.5 inch FULLHD+ AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The display has no notch. RealMe has achieved this by using a popup selfie camera just like the new OnePlus 7 Pro. The in-display fingerprint sensor on this one is an optical one and it works by lighting up the screen above the sensor. Just like the OnePlus 7 Pro, the device has a larger sensor which along with a DSP acceleration engine provides a faster unlocking experience.

The RealMe X comes with a 3765 mAh battery which is actually smaller than the RealMe 3 Pro. It has the VOOC Flash charge 3.0 version and can charge up to 55% in just around 30 minutes.

The device comes with a Snapdragon 710 10nm chipset, 4GB/6GB/8GB of RAM and you can choose from 64 or 128GB of storage options. The RealMe X comes with a 48MP f/1.7 sensor and a 5 MP f/2.4 depth sensor camera. The front popup camera is a 16MP f/2.0 selfie camera.

The 48MP primary sensor is the Sony IMX 586 and uses pixel binning to come up with 12MP detailed images.

The software on the main camera is equipped with RealMe’s Chroma boost, Nightscape, AI scene recognition mode, new portrait modes and the 16MP front camera comes with a dedicated beauty mode which also works on multiple people at once.

RealMe X pricing and availability

RealMe X price in China starts at CNY 1499 for the 4/64 GB version and CNY 1599 for the 6/64 GB version. The 8/128 GB top model costs around CNY 1799.

There’s also a special edition by Naoto Fukusawa. There are two different models dedicated to Onion and Garlic based design. They come with a special back finish inspired by Onion and Garlic peels. They cost CNY 1899 for the 8/128 GB model.

The normal RealMe X would come in Punk Blue and Steam White colours. The RealMe X price in India could start at 15K-16K INR and go up to 20K INR for the top model. If indeed RealMe is able to maintain such cut-throat pricing then they would be able to grab the Indian market for sure!
