There has been a lot of discussion around the possibility of a budget flagship device from the house of Xiaomi. From the past, there have been leaks purporting to a device called as Redmi X. But recently a Xiaomi official claimed that the name for the said device won’t be Redmi X. So whatever this new Redmi Snapdragon 855 flagship model would be its name is not clear yet. But what’s clear about this device is that it would come with a Snapdragon 855 chipset, full view display with an elevating popup selfie camera and a lot more. According to a new screenshot leak, we now know that the said device has a codename “Raphael”.
Xiaomi Redmi Snapdragon 855 flagship model details:
There’s now news that the Raphael model might come with support for GPU overclocking. Such a feature would definitely boost the gaming performance of such a device. It might work similarly to GPU turbo seen on Huawei devices. The screenshot shows the storage of the said device to be 256 GB. It’s seen running on MIUI 10 9.4.22 build. It also shows that the device supports LTE+ carrier aggregation and fast charging. There’s a “GPU overclocking experimental mode”. It may allow people to manually overclock their GPU for better graphics performance.
The device is expected to come with a battery capacity of at least 4000 mAh or even more. It’s expected to keep the 3.5mm jack and have support for NFC. The device is expected to have the same camera setup as the Xiaomi MI 9 SE. This means that it would have a 48 MP primary camera, 13 MP + 8 MP setup. One of these sensors would be an ultrawide one.
Lu Weibing from Xiaomi claimed that the Redmi Snapdragon 855 flagship isn’t going to be particularly cheap. Maybe that’s something that we can expect the Poco F2 to deliver. But we can expect that if it’s a Xiaomi flagship they would try to bring the most specifications for a limited price point!
