We have seen the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 plus chip recently coming on the ASUS ROG Phone 2 and few other phones. But new online Geekbench listings claim that the Snapdragon 865 will be coming soon. It’s supposedly going to have the codename Kona. The leaked score is 4160 points for the single-core score and 12946 points for the multi-core score.
All of these scores indicate a slight improvement over the current Snapdragon 855 and 855 plus chipsets. The numbers don’t indicate a massive performance jump and that might be visible.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 version details
According to previous reports, the Snapdragon 865 (SM8250) will be available in two versions, codenamed Kona + Huracan, which both support LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.0. One may come with an integrated 5G modem (SDX55) while one will not.
In addition, the Korean media reported that Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 will be handed over to Samsung for production using the 7nm EUV process.
