Samsung Galaxy S5 can be easily described as the the next level of Samsung. Its evolution. Everything is larger, everything is bigger, everything is clearer, everything is brighter, and the best of all, everything is quicker. The specs only enhance its beauty. One of the best thing about Samsung Galaxy S5 is that it is designed considering the consumer who will use the device rather than the critics, the camera is easier to use and click better pictures, the design is premium and looks great and one can feel at ease while using a Samsung device. The price point at which it was released in US was also, despite being high, cheaper than its contemporaries. The phone may not have one big grand feature or innovation but it certainly has upgraded or evolved around everything it have. This is a big thing for a company which was mocked last year for mindless innovation.
Design
To be honest, the design is not so inspiring. The body is plastic. One thing that confuses me most is, when the brands like Apple, Sony Xperia, HTC and even Lumia have moved unto full metallic and aluminium casing, why in world is Samsung still sticking with plastic.
It’s not that S5 is not good looking, the device looks much better than S4, but when your competition is against the likes of iPhone 6, you ought to make things better. Though one good thing is there, even with the 5.1 inch of screen, the device is proportioned well. It does not look too big and you can use the device well and good with a single hand too. The color options are good, with an exception of white, it looks too medical too look at, still normal users can manage. The home screen button, which also act as the Fingerprint scanner, is well placed and looks good. The device is waterproof with IP67, which means, you can put it into water for a while and nothing will happen, though taking it for a dive is still not advisable. It is also dust resistant, so the open headphone jack won’t bother. USB 3.0 jack slot is also present in the device.

Key features
Samsung Galaxy S5 review : Key features.
S- Health On the backside of S5,just beneath the camera, there is a Heart rate Monitor. The S Health app is there for the one who likes to keep a check on their health. It will record all your activities throughout the day to give you a understandable data.
The pedometer is quite frankly useless, you need to stick your phone to the thighs to make it work, and it’s not as accurate as those wearables and Smart watches are.
The S Health app is more of a novelty than a important feature. There’s not much use for it if you’re not a heart patient and requires regular updates. It’s also not much accurate and can’t replace the original health devices. You won’t be using it in a more purposeful way than to bet on who got the lowest heart rate in the group.
Fingerprint scanner The Fingerprint scanner on the home is not a new thing in smartphones, but the placing of scanner and its accuracy makes it cool.
The scanner is not so greatly accurate as in the case of Apple but nonetheless it’s second best in market. Also the placement is nice, one of the device with a Fingerprint scanner place them on backside which makes it impossible to use sometimes.
Screen The screen in Galaxy is simply its best feature overall. The super AMOLED 5.1 inches touchscreen is one of the best in the market. The 1920×1080 screen is made up of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and gives 432 ppi pixel density. The brightness is magnificent and pictures and videos look breathtaking on this screen. Watching videos on Samsung devices have always been a pleasurable experience and the tradition just continues with the S5 too. S5 gives solid competition to all other brands when it comes to the screen department and we’re sure you’ll like it too.
OS Though the S5 was released with Android Kitkat, but it’s rumored to receive the update to the latest version of android the Lollipop, in the month of December. We haven already covered the Lollipop earlier so we won’t talk much about it here but We have some pictures to show you how it will supposedly look on the Galaxy S5.
Price
The phone retails for around 33k INR in the local market and online it is around 36K INR.

To Conclude The Galaxy S5 is a great phone features wise. The battery, the screen, the camera is its plus points. Though this is not a revolutionary piece of technology but it is evolutionary, it evolves from its current self and improve the basic where it is needed. There maybe many feature rich phones in the market but the overall packaging of S5 is superior. Only wish is, if the body and design was a little better then it could have been the best phone in the market but as they say, it is impossible to please everyone. But rest assured, you will love this device, for it is designed considering the consumer and will please everyone with at least something.
