On June 9th, during the 2023 Summer Game Fest, Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) made a major announcement regarding the highly anticipated “Marvel Spider-Man 2” video game. SIE revealed that the game will be released on the PS5 platform on October 20th, and will be available in three different versions: Standard Edition, Digital Deluxe Edition, and Collector’s Edition.
According to SIE, the Digital Deluxe Edition will come with a variety of in-game-exclusive sets, while the Collector’s Edition will offer a 19-inch mock-up and Steelbook presentation case.
Fans who are eager to get their hands on the Collector’s Edition can expect to pay a premium price of $230 (approximately INR 18982), while the Standard Edition will cost $70 (approximately INR 5777) and the Digital Deluxe Edition will cost $80 (approximately INR 6602).
SIE also revealed that fans can pre-order “Marvel Spider-Man 2” on the PS Store and offline dealers starting from June 16, which is sure to please fans who are eager to get their hands on the game as soon as possible.
Additionally, during the PlayStation Showcase event that took place at the end of May, Sony offered fans a sneak peek of what they can expect from “Marvel Spider-Man 2”.
The 12-minute gameplay demo showcased the appearance of Kraven, a popular villain hunter, and Dr Curt Connors, also known as the Lizard. The demo also showcased some exciting new features that players can look forward to, including the ability to operate the symbiote venom suit, seamlessly switch between the two Spider-Man characters, and use the new equipment “Web Wings” wingsuit.
SIE has promised that the game will make full use of the PS5’s cutting-edge features, including 3D audio, adaptive triggers, vibration, and more, to deliver an unparalleled gaming experience.
