Valve Registers Trademark for New 6v6 Game ‘Deadlock’

Valve’s upcoming 6v6 competitive game ‘Deadlock’ gets trademarked, expected to be announced soon at Summer Game Fest.

On June 2, Valve’s new mysterious game, “Deadlock,” has been generating buzz. Recently, a Reddit user discovered that Valve applied for a trademark for the game on May 30.

The application has been accepted by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office but has not yet been approved. This indicates that the game is nearing its announcement, potentially during the upcoming Summer Game Fest.

According to previous reports, “Deadlock” has appeared in the SteamDB database with App ID 1422450. The game is similar to “Overwatch,” combining tower defense elements with a unique blend of fantasy and steampunk aesthetics.

It will feature 6v6 team-based gameplay, where players control characters with unique abilities in battles.

Valve co-founder and CEO Gabe Newell mentioned in 2021 that the company has several games in development. Following the release of “Half-Life: Alyx,” Valve has been eager to create more single-player experiences.

The most recent game released by Valve was “Counter-Strike 2” last year, with the company focusing mainly on VR games in recent years. Reports also indicate that Valve has developed and canceled numerous game projects over the years.
