Vivo V5 specifications and price, hands on review

Vivo recently launched it’s new smartphone, the Vivo V5 which focuses mainly on the selfie camera and comes with a new unique feature called as the Moonlight selfie. The phone comes with a great design, build quality but is also lacking on few other fronts. Let’s delve into more detail about this smartphone in order to come at a logical conclusion whether it’s worth buying right now or not. First of all let’s talk about the specifications of the Vivo V5 smartphone.

Vivo V5 specifications:
The Vivo V5 smartphone comes with a 5.5 inch 1280×720 pixels resolution display. The display has corning gorilla glass protection and is a curved 2.5D glass display. The phone comes with an IPS LCD touchscreen display and it weighs around 154 gms.
It’s a dual sim phone with 4g support and supports all of the LTE bands in India.
The phone comes with an Octa Core Mediatek chipset, 4 GB of RAM, 32 GB of on-board storage and a 3000 mAh Lithium Ion battery.
It has a hybrid sim tray slot and supports micro SD storage expansion upto 256 GB.
The device comes with a 13 MP rear camera with PDAF and LED Flash, it’s capable of shooting up to 1080p HD videos.
The front selfie camera which is the highlight has a 20 megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture, 1/2.8″ sensor size and it can also shoot up to full HD videos.

The device comes with additional features like FM Radio and in terms of sensors it has the Fingerprint sensor, proximity sensor, compass sensor and accelerometer.
It has a 3.5 mm jack too 😛 (Pun intended!) and supports 24 bit 192 kHz High fidelity audio.
The phone is available in Gold and gray colors.
It comes with Funtouch OS 2.6 based on Android Marshmallow.
