This has been the season of leaks. Recently some leaks related to the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi K40 series smartphones’ have also started surfacing online! The machine has now shown up for certification online in China.
According to the data given by their Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the measurements of the Redmi K40 series are 163.7×76.4×7.8mm, and the battery capacity has reached 4500mAh.
This means that the Redmi K40 series will come with a large-capacity battery packed into the 7.8mm body, taking into account battery life and thickness.
In addition, the screen size of the Redmi K40 series is 6.67 inches, the resolution is expected to be FHD+, the refresh rate is expected to be 120Hz, the material used is OLED, the front camera will be centred, and the shape will be of the hole punch style.
The reports have emphasized that the Redmi K40 series may use the most expensive screen tech in its price segment in the industry, with a starting price of 2,999 yuan (around 34K INR), which will be really competitive in that price segment.
In terms of hardware configuration, there are at least two Redmi K40 series devices. Among them, Redmi K40 Pro uses the Snapdragon 888 flagship processor and is expected to be equipped with LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 flash memory, it will also support fast charging.
It is worth noting that the Redmi K40 series will be pre-installed with the MIUI system based on Android 11. The version number may be MIUI 12.5, which will be officially released on February 25.
