Xiaomi Redmi K60 Series to Come With High Quality 2K Display!
1920Hz High-Frequency PWM, 1400nit, 12bit, Supports HDR Vivid and More!

According to the latest leaks, the Redmi K60 series will come equipped with a 2K direct screen. Xiaomi has announced that the Redmi 2023 New Year Launch Event will be held at 19:00 on December 27th. At that time, the new Redmi K60 series models will be released. According to reports, the entire Redmi K60 series is equipped with a “2K direct screen” this time, and the K60 Pro will be equipped with a 2K high-quality direct screen. We know now that the screen will come with the following characteristics:
- Brightness upgrade: 1400nit high-light peak brightness, might go higher.
- Colour upgrade: 12bit / 68.7 billion colours, full link P3 wide colour gamut.
- Eye protection upgrade: 1920Hz PWM dimming, hardware-level low blue light emission.
In other respects, this screen will also use C6 luminescent material, the colour accuracy will be Delta E ~ 0.29, JNCD~0.24, and it’s going to support hardware-level low blue light. This screen will be certified for low visual fatigue. In addition, Redmi K60 will also support Dolby Vision, HDR IQ+, HDR Vivid and other features. It is being said that the K60 will not only popularize 2K, but also upgrade it, use higher-end 2K Chinese screens to upgrade the display experience in an all-around way, and continue to promote the high-end process of 2K screens manufactured in China.
According to reports, Redmi and Huaxing established a joint innovation laboratory very early, from screen hardware design to self-developed display algorithm architecture, to platform-level display optimization, and production yield climb, etc., and finally realized the “joint definition + Joint research and development + joint adjustment” cooperation model breakthrough in the form of this display.
Among them, the difficulty of the core technology of the 2K screen lies in the sharp increase in the number of pixels, which puts forward extremely high requirements for the design and manufacture of the underlying circuit. The thinnest metal wire on this screen is only 1.5um, and the precision error of evaporation is required to be smaller than 1/10 of the diameter of a hair, which has reached the limit of technology available in China.
The whole display project of K60 lasted more than 700 days, and after more than 60 design verifications and more than 10,000 pieces of debugging, the mass production finally went off the assembly line smoothly.
