According to the latest updates on December 24th, Xiaomi officially announced today that it will bring a new product to the market for people who like Snapdragon chipsets i.e. the Redmi Note 12 Pro Extreme Edition. This device will be released on December 27th and will be released at the same time as the K60 model.
This new phone is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G. It comes with an OLED flexible straight screen, and also will have the new year’s fresh colour scheme plus trendy small bezels, and the MIUI 14 system is pre-installed from the factory on these devices.
Judging from the previous leaks, compared to the Redmi Note 12 Pro, this model mainly replaces the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chip, and the rear camera uses a 100-megapixel main camera, which might retain the original 108Mp Samsung S5KHM2 sensor, but may also be replaced by HM6.
We recently learnt that Redmi Note 12 Pro is the world’s first smartphone to use MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor, using LPDDR4X memory + UFS 2.2 flash memory, equipped with 67W flash charge + 5000mA battery, with X-axis linear motor, infrared remote control, 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo Dual speakers, multi-function NFC, 6+128GB version, the initial price in mainland china is expected to be 1699 yuan (roughly 20K INR) though the final Indian pricing might vary.
The smartphone is equipped with a 6.67-inch 2400×1080 OLED flexible straight screen with a chin width of 2.9mm. The screen is arranged in a diamond-like arrangement. The sensor is equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor main camera and supports OIS optical image stabilization.
The extreme edition might be reserved for mainland China only but we are hopeful that Snapdragon lovers in India might get to see this smartphone here as well!
