There are so many smartphones being launched on a daily basis that we as gadget reviewers are fatigued with no real innovation and design change. Seldom we come across new products which genuinely make us excited and hopeful for the future. Often we are served with just incremental updates and subtle design changes which lead to disappointment. But one in every ten companies tries to break the mould. This can be seen this time with the Nubia Red Magic 3. So today we are going to discuss ZTE Nubia Red Magic 3 specifications and price in India in detail!
ZTE Nubia Red Magic 3 specifications: The low down!
The Red Magic 3 comes with the best chipset that Qualcomm has to offer right now. It comes with the Snapdragon 855 chipset. It also boasts of a unique cooling solution as the phone has internal liquid cooling along with a dedicated fan on the inside.
It’s a dedicated gaming device and comes with 12 GB of RAM. It has a huge battery, 8K video recording support and also supports 1920 FPS slow-motion video recording.
It comes with a 6.65 inch AMOLED display and has a 90 Hz refresh rate and the touch refresh rate is 240 Hz for superior smoothness. The display panel has thick bezels which means that there’s no notch.
It comes with a stereo speaker setup for enhanced multimedia consumption. The phone also supports 4D vibrations for enhanced gaming.
The ZTE Nubia Red Magic 3 has a single camera sensor at the back and they haven’t gone the Samsung route. The single-camera sensor is the Sony IMX 586 48MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture.
The main talking point here is the fact that Nubia claims that their device can shoot 8K video presumably in x265 codec and also shoots 1920 fps. Now whether high bitrate footage like that is even possible on a smartphone is a question for another day. Still, the specifications on paper are enough to excite even the biggest naysayers.
The phone comes with a liquid-cooled setup and a dedicated fan setup. Nubia claims that it can result in up to 500% heat distribution. In essence, this means that your phone won’t heat up even during intense gaming sessions.
The phone comes with a dedicated action button on the top right. This works as an additional key to aid in gaming. There’s a diamond style fingerprint sensor at the back.
The ZTE Nubia Red Magic 3 comes with a 5000 mAh battery and supports 27W fast charging.
The phone would be available at a price of $430 for the 6/64 GB storage variant. For a price of $475, you can get the double storage capacity variant. For a price of $520, you can get either the Red or Black colour 8/128GB variant for this device.
The craziest 12/256GB variant of this phone would retail at a price of $640 and you can either opt for a Camon design or Red-Violet Gradient design at the back.
The sales for the ZTE Nubia Red Magic 3 will start from May 3 midnight. It would be available on JD.com and at Nubia stores.
We still have our fingers crossed for the device’s India launch. Most probably we might see a small price bump to factor in for things like import duty etc.
But honestly, at a starting price of around INR 30,000, it seems like the best performance device money can buy!
