Infocus, the Oregon-based mobile phone brand which was lost somewhere from quite a few days made a comeback today with the launch of their new device Infocus Turbo 5 in an event held in New Delhi.

The new Infocus Turbo 5 is targeted at the lower mid-range segment of the market and will try to compete with other budget segment devices for the market share.

InFocus Turbo 5 specifications, price in India and other details (like camera, gaming & benchmarks) can be found in the video below.

Going in detail, the Infocus Turbo 5 is a steady phone with average benchmark scores overall, considering the price range, not too much should be expected from the device. Still it’s good for day to day usage. Infocus, overall has always made sturdy mid-range phones. On the front, there is the standard 5.2-inch 720p display. The choice of a 720p display is there to extend the battery life of device further, especially if you take into account the difference a full HD screen will make to the battery life.

The camera in the new Infocus Turbo 5 is not so great overall, the rear camera which is a 13-megapixel shooter does good in daylight but the shots taken in the night were nothing to boast off. The front camera is a 5-megapixel shooter which clicks decent selfies.

The processor is also not so bad per say, multitasking was possible although while testing the GTA Android game we did face a little lag. 3 GB of RAM should be enough for all your needs and the 32 GB internal memory won’t let you face any memory issues.

The best feature of the new Infocus Turbo 5 though, is definitely its 5000 mAh battery which will last you almost 2 days of usage under normal circumstances. I don’t think any other brand is offering this much battery power in this price range. Overall the device is good enough for an average consumer who wants to experience the latest Android 7: Nougat experience.

Release Date, Price in India:

The new Infocus Turbo 5 will come in two variants, the 2GB RAM, 16 GB ROM variant for INR 6999 and the 3 GB RAM, 32 GB ROM variant for INR 7999. Both of them will go on sale from July 4th exclusively on Amazon.in.

Conclusion:

To conclude this, I’d have to say it should not be very difficult for Infocus to compete against others in this price range. The specs don’t tell the full tale and MT6737 is capable of doing your day-to-day tasks with ease. The one thing that sets this device apart from the others is its battery, which at 5000 mAH is quite amazing, to be honest. Let’s see how the market reacts to the new Infocus Turbo 5.

You can buy the InFocus Turbo 5 exclusively on Amazon here. The sale will start on the 4th of July, 2017.
