Xiaomi India launched it’s Android One-powered Mi A3 with 48MP triple camera and 32MP selfie camera today in India. They have extended their popular Android One lineup with world’s first Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 phone in the form of the Mi A3.
Xiaomi, India’s number one smartphone since more than a year and smart TV brand, today announced Mi A3. Their latest smartphone in their lineup of Android One-powered phones with the world’s highest-resolution camera setup. It succeeds Mi A2, the world’s number one Android One smartphone previously (up to a certain point of time).
Mi A3 marks a shift in the design of the Mi A series. It brings a new design while retaining the functional aspects which made Mi A2 one of the best phones in the segment. Starting at INR 12,999, it features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset, a Super AMOLED display, a massive 4030 mAh battery, 48 MP triple camera setup and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. Like every Mi A series smartphone, Mi A3 is also powered by Google’s Android One project and runs Android 9 Pie out of the box.

Flagship-level 48MP AI Triple camera setup
Every Mi A series device has offered a stellar camera experience, powered by Android One. Mi A3 features Sony’s 48 MP IMX586 sensor, coupled with an 8 MP ultra-wide and a 2MP depth sensor. The 48 MP large half-inch sensor allows maximum details to be captured while retaining the quality of the image. To further enhance the camera experience, Mi A3 brings Xiaomi’s popular Steady Handheld Night Photography mode to the Mi A series for the first time ever.
Apart from the class-leading 48MP camera, Mi A3 also sports a 32 MP front camera, enabling the device to have the highest megapixel count for a camera set up in the world. The 32MP camera has a Super Pixel size of 1.6?m allowing crisp and detailed selfies even in low light.
Contemporary Design
Mi A3 embodies a new design language bringing functionality and poise to the A-series. It features a glass sandwich design with an ergonomic form factor facilitating one-handed usage. The 15.6cm (6.08) Super AMOLED display offers vivid colours, deeper blacks and increased power efficiency enabling an immersive viewing experience. The 7th generation In-screen fingerprint scanner brings a 15% increase in the fingerprint detection area and 30% more accuracy over the previous generation. Triple Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protects the front, rear and the camera module of Mi A3. The functionality is complemented by the nano-level holographic pattern which creates a dynamic design effect. Offered in three colours, Kind of Grey, Not just Blue and More than White, Mi A3 features P2i nano-coating to provide protection against accidental spills.
Kryo computing paired with Android One
Taking forward the legacy of offering a perfect blend of performance and power-efficiency, Mi A3 combines the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 mobile platform with Android One. The octa-core chipset is coupled with up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage enabling incredibly smooth and fast user experience. Mi A3 brings a 4030 mAh battery with 18W fast charging with a 10W charger in the box.
Mi A3 brings the latest innovations by Google and combines it with Xiaomi’s trusted hardware. It runs on the Android 9 Pie operating system out of the box, bringing features like the Google Assistant, Digital Wellbeing and Adaptive Battery. Mi A3’s Android UI ensures snappy and clutter-free user experience and comes with two years of guaranteed security updates from Google, and two guaranteed Android OS upgrades.

Mi A3 Availability
Mi A3 will be available in three colour variants – Kind of Grey, Not just Blue and More than White. The 4GB+64GB variant will be available for INR 12,999 and the 6GB+128GB variant will be available for INR 15,999. Mi A3 will be available starting 12 PM on 23rd August via Mi.com, Amazon and Mi Home stores. It will also go on sale across all offline stores soon.
